Given AP : 6 , 13 , 20 , 27 , ....

Common difference (d) = 13 - 6 = 7

First term (a) = 6

we need to find the term which is 98

Sol:-

›› 98 = 6 + (n - 1)7

›› 98 - 6 = (n - 1)7

›› 92/7 = (n - 1)

›› 92/7 + 1 = n

›› (92 + 7)/7 = n

›› 99/7 = n

So,

As we know that value of n can't be negative so , 98 is not a term of AP.
