Answer:

we know that, a = 3 and r = 2

Now ar^(n-1) = 768

or r^(n-1) = 768/3 = 256 = 2^(n-1)

But 256 = 2^8 which in same as 2^(n-1).

Hence n = 8

so the 8th term of the GP is 768.

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

In a GP 3,6,12...768

a=3 and r=2

we know

tn=a(r^n-1)

768=3*(2^n-1)

768/3=2^n-1

256=2^n-1

we know that 2^8=256

therefore

2^8=2^n-1      (9-1=8)

hence 768 is 8th term of this GP
