In order to findout, just put a crystal or soluble solute in solution.
A unsaturated solution has the tendency to dissolve more of the solute in it because of which the crystal or solute will reduces in size . This is because unsaturated solutions have the weaker bonds also that immediately breaks to make a bond with the newer substance.

Also, in case of supersaturated solution there is excess of solute in the solution so, it wants to leave its excess solute , due to which  added crystal or solute will become bigger in size than before .

Test you will carry out to find out if a given solution is unsaturated or saturated is  just by :

 Add a few drops of solute like salt in the solution and try to stir by keeping the temperature constant.
---> if more solute does not dissolve in the given solution, then it will be saturated solution.

--->But if more solute gets dissolved then it will be an unsaturated solution.-

-->
Super saturated : If you heat the solution, then it can dissolve more amount of solute in it.on cooling, we can find that the dissolved excess salt will precipitate in the solution. If mores solute falls to the bottom than saturated case, than the solution will super saturated .... It will be very hard to dissolve solute in it.
