Golden Quardrilateral:

The government of India has launched a major road development project linking Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Mumbai and Delhi by a six- lane super highway.

The North-South Corridor:

In the north it links Srinagar of Jammu & Kashmir to Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu.

The East-West Corridor:

It connects Silchar of Assam in the east to Porbandar of Gujarat in the west.

Connecting the four major metropolitan cities of the country in four directions – Delhi (North), Chennai (South), Kolkata (East) and Mumbai (West) – thereby forming a quadrilateral, and hence the name Golden Quadrilateral.
