Satluz,Ganga, Brahmaputra . They divide the northern plains into three river basin known as The Satluz River, The Ganga River,The Brahmaputra River.

Relief features of Northern Plains are:

  1. Plains of Northern India are flat and enormous.
  2. Northern Plains are known as Gangetic Plains.
  3. They are very fertile land because of the three rivers.
  4. They are rich in alluvial soil which is fit for agriculture.

5.Northern Plains have high population because the land here is fit for agriculture and also water is available in abundance for irrigation.
