There are 2 main decisions of Muhammad Tughlaq that made him fall.
1. The invention of Token currency -
He invented the token currency to pay his soldiers which were made of cheap metals. People made duplicates of token currencies easily and had lots of money and paid less for taxes. This in turn became a huge disadvantage and he was suffering from losses.
2. Invasion of the Mongol Empire -
The invasion of the Mongol Empire was the most worst idea in even histories of the world. He had a troop of 10,000 soldiers and decided to attack the mongols by crossing the Himalayas.
But, the Himalayas being steep and tall mountains and having high altitude along with low oxygen made most of the soldiers suffer and die.
They didn’t attack the mongols because a many soldiers already died. And very few were left. So, the remaining soldiers returned.
