The two highly polluting fuels which are banned in Delhi since 1996 are furnace oil and pet coke.

In view of an alarming rise in the pollution levels of the national capital, an Environment Pollution Control and Prevention Authority (EPCA) have urged to the Supreme Court to issue a ban on the polluting fuels such as furnace oil and pet coke.
