Answer:

Required value of two numbers are 4 and 7.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given,sum of two numbers is 11 and a product of them is 28.

Let first number be a and second number be b.

According to question,

a + b = 11...(1) \\ ab = 28....(2)

From equation (1),

a + b = 11 \\ a = 11 - b....(3)

Putting value of a in equation (2),

(11 - b) \times b = 28 \\ 11b -  {b}^{2} = 28 \\  {b}^{2}   - 11b + 28 = 0 \\  {b}^{2}  - (7 + 4)b + 28 = 0 \\  {b}^{2}   - 7b - 4b + 28 = 0 \\ b(b - 7) - 4(b - 7) = 0 \\ (b - 7)(b - 4) = 0

We know product of two numbers is zero then they are also separately zero.

b - 7 = 0 \\ b = 7

and

b - 4 = 0 \\ b = 4

We are putting b = 7 in equation (3),

a = 11 - 7 \\  = 4

and we are putting value of b = 4 in equation (3),

a = 11 - 4 \\  = 7

So, required value of two numbers are 4 and 7.
