Oligosaccharides are found in milk and fruits. They are small chain of carbohydrates which are usually formed by the process of condensation of 2-9 monosaccharides. Therefore, oligosaccharides are often linked and are actually the category of compound carbohydrates (polysaccharides are too in this group category).
Lactose or lit. "Milk Sugars" are named so because of its natural tendency to be in the milk. It is a type of reducing sugar which is formed and condensed (lacerated) inside the mammary glands by B (beta) 1 << 4 condensation of two hexose molecules including glucose and galactose. When the milk goes "sour" or in people's languages "goes-off" or is unpleasant to taste, it is happening due to the conversion of lactose into lactic acid, usually done by lactobacillus bacterium when it gets a suitable high temperature. It is formed of three compounds, glucose, fructose and galactose.
Since, sucrose is the storage compound and is a type of oligosaccharide it is found as a storage carbohydrate in Sugarcane and Sugarbeet so fruits also contain oligosaccharides.
