Which type of chemical reaction is taking place in the below and what is the chemical equation of it ?

Iron nails when left dipped in a copper sulphate solution becomes brownish in colour and the blue color of solution fades away​

Here ,"Displacement reaction " is taking place.

Here the iron is more reactive then copper so it displaces copper from its solution.

The equation is shown below:

Fe + CuSO4 —»FeSO4 + Cu

From this we can observe that the blue color of copper sulphate solution fades away with a brownish color due to the formation of Iron sulphate solution (FeSO4).
