Explanation: The solutions which have relatively lower as compared to those of the pure components because higher is the vapor pressure , lower is the boiling point.

In ethanol, the molecules are hydrogen bonded. On addition of acetone, its molecules get in between the molecules of ethanol, thus breaking the hydrogen bonds and reducing ethanol ethanol attractions considerably.

Thus the inter molecular forces get weak and thus the vapor pressure becomes high and thus a mixture of ethanol and acetone has higher vapor pressure compared to individual components and thus has lower boiling point.
