Answer :- Mushrooms follow Saprophytic mode of Heterotrophic nutrition.

Explanation-

Their are two modes of nutrition - autotrophic nutrition and Heterotrophic nutrition.

Autotrophic nutrition is divided into photo- autotrophic nutrition and chemo- autotrophic nutrition.

Heterotrophic nutrition is further divided into three categories - parasitic, Saprophytic and Holozoic.

The nutrition in which an organism feeds on dead and decompose living organisms is said as Saprophytic mode of nutrition . It is followed by fungus, bacteria, etc.

Since, mushroom is a type of fungus, it follows Saprophytic nutrition. It grows on the remains of dead plants which satisfies that they obtain their food from dead remains of plants.

The saprophytes are known as scavengers of environment as like scavengers, they clean the environment.
