A convex mirror always forms a virtual image. A virtual image is formed when the rays from a point on an object always diverge.
The points seem to appear on the divergence contact. Since the rays do not diverge at all hence, they do not appear on screens.
They are marked by dotted lines and are traced back from the point of convergence.
