All the items are made up of molecules. In some of the objects, such as a rock, the molecules are squished too tightly together.
In the others products like the wood, these molecules are more loosely spread out. The items like rocks, coins, and marbles are relatively denser as compared to water and thus sink.

The objects which have more density than water sinks in water.
For ex. Rock sink in water because it is more denser than water whereas a plastic ball floats on water because it is less denser than water and comes at the top of the surface because of the byount force.
