which type of reaction is when a glass rod is dipped in ammonia solution held over the mouth of a test tube containing Hydrochloric acid which is heated continuously

It is a type of displacement reaction between Hydrochloric acid and Ammonia solution.

                          NH₄OH  +  HCl  ------------>  NH₄Cl  +  H₂O

Here, as the aqueous mixture is heated white fumes of Ammonium chloride are evolved.
