Nano is not a unit for length.

• There are metric prefixes which are used before the main unit to denote the multiple or fraction (based on 10) of the same main unit. (Eg. Centi,Kilo,Deca,Nano etc.)

• These individual metric prefixes are not units. We can call them units when a main unit is attached after them. Like, centi is not an unit but centimetre is an unit. Here, centi is metric prefix and metre is the main unit.

• Similarly,"Nano" is also not an unit of length. If a main unit of length, like metre is attached to this metric prefix, then it will become an unit (nanometre).
