Unit of Measurement- Standardized amount of various physical quantities

SI System(It is otherwise known as Metric System)- International system for Measure physical properties and their units.

Metrics units:

Length – cm, m, mm, km

Mass – g, kg, mg, t

Volume-L,mL,Cm3

Temperature -  °C

Example :

To convert larger units to smaller units we multiply the number of larger units.

1 m = 100 cm

22 m =22X100=2200 cm

To convert smaller units to larger units we divide the number of smaller units .

1 m = 1/1000 km

8m=8/1000=0.008 km
