A fuel cell is a cell that converts chemical energy (heat of combustion) into electrical energy directly by a redox reaction (combustion reaction). One of the best example is (H2+O2) fuel cell. In Apollo space program astronauts used this fuel cell and they get 900 L of water vapour at 127oC and 700 mm of Hg pressure.
