d. It also promotes the values of justice, fair play, equity by preventing over exploitation and accumulation of resources.

Sustainable Development means Development should take place without damaging the environment and development in the present should not destroy the ability of the future generations to meet their needs. Therefore , it is our duty to ensure that :-

a) all uses of renewable resources are sustained.

b) The diversity of life on Earth is conserved.

c) The population and distribution of rare and threatened species should be increased.

d) Damage to natural environment should be minimised.

e) Recycling of reusable goods should be increased.

f) Alternative resource is used if made available.

Some principles of Sustainable development are :-

1. Respect and care for all forms of life to achieve a dynamic result.

2. Improve the quality of Human life through interaction with all the nation.

3. Conserve the earths vitality and Diversity.

4. Try to minimise the depletion of Natural resources.

5. Change personal attitude and practices towards the environment as they create unbalances.

6. Educated communities must try to take care of their own environment.
