1. India is geographically very vast country. Time to time many travellers like Marcopolo, Xuanzang and Ibn Battuta etc. visited India to explore the country.

2. This shows that India was indeed a rich country and her neighbors were interested in her.

3. India exported several things which helped her to establish close contacts with her neighbors.

4. The history of India was never only about India. It has some chapters of other countries also (Eg- Britain and Afghanistan).

5. Many invaders like Ghori tried to invade India. Some were successful and some were not.

6. This shows that India had a very precious place at that time in the world, that is why it was called 'Golden bird'.

7. Geographically, India has 7 neighbours with 2 more island countries as her neighbours.

8. These countries are somehow influenced by indian culture and India by theirs.
