(A) Yajur Veda - Yajur Veda is the second Veda of all the Vedas. It is also called the book of rituals, as it is filled with the mantras and as well as chants which are used in some official rituals. It consists of 40 Adhyaya's as well as 1875 Verses in it, most of the verses as well as Adhyaya's from which are developed from the Rig Veda.

• Yajur Veda is of two kinds. They are: -

1. White Yajur Veda, and
2. Black Yajur Veda.

(B) Sama Veda - The Sama Veda is said as the Veda of chants as it consists of many chants which are chanted while performing some kinds of sacrifices. it is the shortest Veda from all the Vedas. It is also said as the book of Udgata priests.

• Sama Veda is divided into two parts. They are: -

1. Gana, and
2. Archika.

(C) Rig Veda - Rig Veda is the oldest form of Veda. It is the oldest Vedic to Sanskrit text. It consists of many collections of prayers that are used to worship God Agni, Indra, etc. The Hymns written in the Rig Veda reveals about the history of the early Vedic period.

(D) Atharva Veda​ - Atharva Veda is also called the Vedas of magical formulas. It is also called the book of spells. It is totally different from other Vedas. it deals with the life problems of the people as it deals with the astrological subjects.
