India's first ever "3D animated film" was "Road side Romeo". It was a "joint venture" between "Walt Disney Co & Yash Raj Films" and was directed by "Jugal Hansraj". It bagged several awards at the National level and in award ceremonies organised by private organisations. It released in 2008. Before that series such as captain Vyom were released. The first animated film produced was the banyan tree which was released way back in 1957.
