The first world war was fought in 1914
Triple Alliance -Germany,Austria-Hungary and Italy were the first three members of the Triple Alliance.But Italy broke away from the group and other states like Bulgaria and Ottoman empire joined and it came to be known as Central Powers.
Triple Entete-Russia, Britain and France were the first three members of Triple Entete.Other states like Serbia, US, Belgium, Japan and Italy joined and it came to be known as Allied Powers.This side won the first world war.
