O- have strong electron affinity as by gaining 1 more electron it will have valence eletronic configuration

Answer:

O- will have maximum value of electron affinity.

Explanation:

If we observe electronic configuration, O- require only one electron to complete its octet, whereas O2- has inert gas configuration and O is two less electron to its octet. So, O- will have maximum electron affinity so that it completes its octet and get stabilised.

O : 1s^2, 2s^2, 2p^4

O- : 1s^2, 2s^2, 2p^5

O2-: 1s^2, 2s^2, 2p^6
