Given :

  • Mass of first object(M) = 4kg
  • Acceleration of first object(A) = 5m/s^2
  • Mass of second object(m) = 2kg
  • Acceleration of second object(a) = 6m/s^2

To Find :

Which of the two force is greater = ?

Formula require :

F = ma

SI unit of Force(f) = N

SI unit of mass(kg) = kg

SI unit of acceleration = m/s^2 or ms^-2

Solution :

As we know Force = mass × acceleration

So,

Force exerted by first body :

\sf{}\implies F=MA

\sf{}\implies F=4\times 5

\sf{}\therefore Force=20N

Force exerted by second body :

\sf{}\implies f=ma

\sf{}\implies f=2\times 6

\sf{}\therefore Force=12N

20N > 12N

So,

F > f

Therefore, first body with a acceleration 5m/s^2 and with a mass 4kg will require greater force than second body.
