  1. WE THE PEOPLE OF INDIA:- The constitution is not handed to us by any king or any outside power.
  2. SECULAR:- The state does not have it's own official religion.
  3. REPUBLIC:- The head of the state is elected not a hereditary person.
  4. SOVEREIGN:- No external power can dictate the govt. of India.
  5. LIBERTY:- There are no unreasonable restrictions on the citizens what they think or wish.
  6. FRATERNITY:- We should treat as if we are members of the same family.
  7. DEMOCRATIC:- A form of govt. where people enjoy equal political rights.
  8. EQUALITY:- All are equal before the law.
  9. SOCIALIST:- Wealth is generated socially and should be shared equally by the society.
  10. JUSTICE:- Citizens cannot be discriminated on the basis of cast, creed, race etc....
