During breathing, a harsh, crowing vibratory sound produced is called Stridor.
Stirdor is produced due to the narrowing of airways including trachea. This sound is produced when inhaled air try to pass through narrowed airways. The narrowing of airways passages could be a result of any bacterial or viral infection, throat abnormalities, illness or presence of any foreign particle.
