While at sea the sailors were surrounded by water. But they could not drink it.Why?

I think so whether they don't have thirst or they like to drink coke r they don't know how to drink the water
May be it was too salty..

they like to drink coke not the water
no this is not answer it question of class 10 sylabbus and i am in class 10 and i have studid that chapter
