Answer:

2/5 + 3/8 = 31/40

Now 9/40 of total amount is left

then

1/6 of 9/40 = 3/80

Now

money left 1 - (31/40 + 3/80) = 15/80

this 15/80 is equal to Rs 114000

therefore total money = 114000 * 80/15 = 608000

ans Rs 608000

Total money spent on the construction of the house is Rs.6,08,000.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

A man spent \frac{2}{5} th of the total amount for getting building material.

\frac{3}{8} thon the labor.

\frac{1}{6} th of the remaining on the interiors.

The rest on the furniture.

The man spent Rs. 1,14,000 on furniture,

To Find:

Total money spent on the construction of the house.

Solution:

Let the total money spent on the construction of the house is Rs.p.

As given, a man spent \frac{2}{5} th of the total amount for getting building material.

The amount spent  for getting building material =\frac{2}{5} \ of\ p=\frac{2p}{5}\ Rs.

As given,  on the labor.

The amount spent on the labor =\frac{3}{8} \ of\ p=\frac{3p}{8}\ Rs.

Remaining amount =p-\frac{2}{5}p -\frac{3}{8} =\frac{9}{40} p.

As given, \frac{1}{6} th of the remaining on the interiors.

The amount spent for \frac{1}{6} th of the remaining on the interiors =\frac{1}{6} \ of\ \frac{9}{40} =\frac{9}{40} \times\frac{1}{6} =\frac{3}{80} p.

As given-the rest on the furniture.

he amount spent on the  furniture =p-(\frac{2}{5} P+\frac{3}{8}P +\frac{3}{80}p)

                                                         =P-(\frac{32+30+3}{80}) P

                                                         =p-\frac{65}{80} p

                                                         =\frac{80-65}{80}p =\frac{15}{80} p

As given, the man spent Rs. 1,14,000 on furniture,

Then,    \frac{15}{80} p=114000

             p= \frac{114000\times80}{15}

                =Rs.6,08,000

Thus, total money spent on the construction of the house Rs.6,08,000.
