Answer :-

Starting from the mean (M), one oscillation of the pendulum comprises of a left swing and a right swing.

Starting from left extreme(L) , one oscillation comprises of going to the right extreme (R) and returning to the left extreme. This involves covering the distance from one extreme to mean position 4 times.( L>M, M>R, R>M , M> L)

Time for 1 oscillation= 30/20s= 1.5 s

Time for movement from one extreme to mean position= 1.5/4 s= 0.375 seconds
