While diluting an acid why is it recommended that the acid should be added to water and not water to acid ?

Because acid is highly reactive .so less quantity of acid should be added to more amount of water

Solution A has pH value 6 which indicate it is acid and therefore it has more hydrogen ion (H+ ions ) concentration as compared to solution B having pH value 8 which indicate the solution is basic in nature.
