We need two match boxes and a thread for perform this experiment, The experiment is simple and follows the principle of sound as a wave which passes through the string and creates the sensation of sound in the other side of the stretched thread. We need to tie the thread tightly in one matchbox. We could either pierce the matchbox and get the thread through. Then tie a knot. So that its tightly fixed there. Do the same at the other end of the match box. We can test this by speaking some. Words at one end which can be hard at the other side. This happens because of the sound travels through the streched wire and reaches the other box.We need to take care that the wire is tightly streched so that sound can easily reach the other end.
