Given:

  • V = 50km/h
  • t (Normal) = 1 h 30min = 1.5 h
  • t (15 min late) = 1h 30min - 15min = 1.25 h

To Find:

  • What is the distance from home to his office ?
  • What is the speed of car if he is 15 min late to reach office at time ?

Solution:

Case 1

We know that ,

Speed = Distance/Time

Distance = Speed × Time

Distance(office) = (50 × 1.5)km = 75 km

Case 2

Speed = Distance/Time = (75/1.25)km/h = 60km/h
