While everything comes down due to gravity, why do flame goes up?


Anonymous: Due the the energy released is greater than gravitational force

This happens due to gravity only.The gravity pulls both the flame and the air which is cooler and thus denser which puts pressure on the flame which is lighter when it is displaced. That pressure is stronger on bottom than the top and pushes the flame upwards.
