While fast forwarding a song we are not able to listen the song clearly. Why ? Explain.

while forwarding a song we are not able to listen the song clearly as when we hear a sound it remains in our ear for 0.1 second. while forwarding the sound waves reach our ear within that time period. thus all the sounds get mixed up and we are not able to hear the song clearly.
