in ammeter current will passed to low resistance is connected in parallel so that it will be protected but in the case of voltmeter high resistance is connected in series because voltage is Same in parallel

This is because that when an Ideal ammeter must have Infinity small internal resistance. So we reduce the internal resistance by parallel shunt.
