While measuring the diameter of a wire with the above screw gauge, it is observed that the reading of the main scale is 6 divisions and the 12th division of the circular scale coincides with the base line. Find the diameter of the wire.​

Number of circular divisions, n=100

Thus, least count LC=p/n=1/100=0.01 mm=0.001 cm

Diameter of the wire =MSR+(CSR×LC)=0+(52×0.001cm)=0.052 cm
