The precutations to be taken while measuring length by using aruler as follow

(a) the scale should be parallel to be the sides of the object being measured.

(b)while reading the scalle the eye must be placed vertically above the scale mark or broken left end ,measure the length of and then subtract 1cm from tge reading taken at the right end to get the actual length of object starting from 1cm marks of scale mark being read

(c) if the scale has a damaged ? Xors and mark or bro kam left end measure the length of an object starting from 1 cm mark. of scale and then actual length of object.
