In the preparation of temporary stomata and in peeling leaf, the stain used is SAFRANIN. So, the student who is using safranin is possessing correct stain.

The safranin is red in colour which can stain the plant materials very easily. The plant materials would be lignin and suberin.

Since, the stain of the safranin is red, the tiny spores of stomata is very clearly visible. The dye also leaves red colour on the nuclei of the cells which makes it easy during identification.
