Well, on one hand, global warming is a pressing matter. The heating up of some environments can be catastrophic for the inhabitants living there. If there homes are melted away and destroyed, the species living there may cease to exist. However, deforestation, is another pressing matter, very similar to global warming. The destruction by humans to the natural tree crowded areas is deadly on the area and all those who live there as well. The killing of trees can affect the atmosphere horribly as one of the many sources for clean oxygen is being wiped away, while all the creatures who help maintain the environment are being pushed out. I feel deforestation is a more detrimental problem because it not only affects the animals living there, but also the air quality.

Deforestation is clearing Earth's forests on a massive scale, often resulting in damage to the quality of the land. Forests still cover about 30 percent of the world’s land area, but swaths half the size of England are lost each year.

The world’s rain forests could completely vanish in a hundred years at the current rate of deforestation
