As I was taking a stroll in a park near my house, I spotted a snake. I panicked but I couldn't move. I stood there like a statue. Chilling thoughts came into my mind. What if the snake bites me? What were the medicines I had to take? All these chilling thoughts came into my mind. I realised that maybe, this was the end of my life. No one was around me and I even couldn't call out for help. Suddenly I realised that the snake was moving away. I breathed a sigh of relief and thanked God for his blessings. The moment the snake looked away I broke my statue position and became a man of muscle and bone, running for his life.

While strolling in the park near my house, I spotted a cobra. I panicked but stood there like a statue. Frightening thoughts were arising in my mind and then. I was terrified because I was worried for the safety of the cobra. People are so terrified of them that as soon as they see snakes, they come with their weapons and always try to kill them. I did not want that people should kill an innocent creature. I wanted to let it go safe and sound. I knew that if I screamed, people would run in throngs and they would not leave it. No doubt, cobras are venemous creatures. Their biting is fatal for human beings and man may breath has last in a few minutes after its biting but it is also true that they attack only when they are attacked. They are part and parcel of our environment. They are farmer friendly as they gobble up the insects and creatures which are harmful for the crops and if they are killed for no reason, who will save the environment. I kept on lingering there and called some of my friends and asked them not to kill it. We kept a sharp vigil on it and watched its movements. I know snakes do not listen but sense through their organs. They recognize the foot steps so we began to walk towards it slowly thus, I changed its course to run away towards its hole and finally it took refuge in its hole. I took a sigh of relief that I had not harmed an innocent creature
