While studying the dependence of potential difference (V) across a
sistor on the current (1) passing through it, in order to determine
the resistance of the resistor, a student took 5 readings for different
values of current and plotted a graph between V and I. He got a
straight line graph passing through the origin. What does the
straight line signify? Write the method of determining resistance of
the resister using this graph.

The straight lines signify the resistance and coming of the straight lines denotes that the ratio of V and I in every reading is same

If current is on x-axis and potential difference on y-axis then slope represents resistance which can be find out by taking diff. Of any two plotted values of I and V

But If current is on y-axis and potential difference on x- axis then slope represents the reciprocal of resistance

Hope it will help u
