• However today due to rapid industialisation/urbanisation we have been facing water shortage. The urban growth generates its own ways of water tension, as more affluent people are consuming more water, more resources and more power. Around the same time, insufficient access to water & basic sanitation for the urban poor in the developed world
• Besides Climate change, such as altered green house gases, weather-patterns (including floods/droughts), increased pollution,  deforestation, and wasteful use of water can cause insufficient supply.
