when the national assembly was busy forming a constitution for france.A rumour was spread in the country side that the king had hired brigands to destroy their crops in frenzy fear the peasents or the farmers with everything they attacked bastile in search of arms and realesed 7 political prisoners bastile was banished and completely destroyed on the other hand women were standing in long lines for bread and the bakeries made it worse by hoarding the supplies the women broke into the shops and there was chaos all over the king was forced to accept the constitution and france became a constitutional monarchy
fun fact 14 julliet(july)is also celebreted as independence day in france as it marked the stratin of the french revolution
