While using iodine Amit dropped some of it on his paneer sandwich. He observed that the color of the bread changed while the color of the paneer did not change.
(a) Why did the color of bread changed and not that of paneer?

Iodine solution turned blue-black because the saree worn by Pahelis teacher must have contained starch and starch turns blue-black when exposed to iodine solution. Pahelis socks would have been free from starch that's why

her socks did not change color.
