While using iodine in library a girl dropped dropped a drop of iodine on her socks and other hand her teacher dropped iodine on her saree why the saree become black blue in colour and socks not

Explanation:

iodine turns blueblack in colour only if starch is present in a substance in which it is added

the saree had turned blue black because it is a natural cloth like cotton which contains starch and the socks had not turned blue black because it didnt contain strach like is made of wool

so socks didnt turn blue black but the saree turned blue black
