While using iodine in the laboratory, some drops of iodine fell on paheli's sock's and iodine on the saree toned blue black white thier colour died not change on the socks.what can be the possible reason?

Answer:The saree must be made out of cotton.

Explanation:As cotton is a plant product which have starch in it, when iodine fell on it it showed blue black colour. where as socks is made up of synthetic fibers , which do not contain starch in it . thus when the iodine fell on Paheli's socks the colour did not change.
