The white irregular spots between veins of upper leaves of maize plant shows the deficiency of Boron.
Plants short of Boron effects the growth of the plant.
The case is worse in sandy and alkaline soils and also soils low in organic matter.
This will also happen when there are too high levels of nitrogen or calcium. Periods of drought also worsen the problem.
