White phosphorus reacts with caustic soda,the products are PH3 and NaH2PO2.This reaction is an example of : (A) Oxidation (B) Reduction (C) Disproportionation (D) Neutralisation.

This is a disproportionation reaction in reactant side phosphorous has ox. state of 0 but in product side it goes to -3(PH3)[reduce] and +1(NaH2PO2)[oxidise].As both oxidation and reduction happens for a single element it is disproportionation reaction.
