Answer:In 1716 Domingo Ramón moved the mission to Bowles Creek and reestablished it as Nuestro Padre San Francisco de los Tejas. In 1719 a small French invasion known as the “Chicken War” caused Spain to abandon the mission again. Two years later, it was moved to near present-day Alto and renamed San Francisco de los Neches.
